Formed in 2010, the Chelsea Foundation brings together under one umbrella the clubâs Football in the Community and Education departments as well as other charitable initiatives including its environment and anti-discriminati on projects.Recognised as a world leader in footballing social responsibility, the Foundation aims to motivate, educate and inspire people through the power of sport, supporting communities and individuals in the UK and elsewhere. These schools enable kids from poverty-stricken areas to develop socially as well as athletically.Disability InclusionIMAGE SOURCE: INSTAGRAMThe Foundationâs Disability Inclusion programme allows people with any disability to participate in regularly organised football games and coaching sessions. People with disabilities are encouraged to improve their health, social skills and independence. Chelsea captain John Terry is a regular volunteer with the programme. Thousands of people in south-west London participate in the clubâs annual anti-discrimination education campaign, which is is headed up by Chelsea star Paul Canoville.
